‘Abd al-Husayn Mu‘azzaz al-Mulk (Taymurtash)'s letter to Surur al-Saltanah along with the envelope. Mu‘azzaz al-Mulk talks about the prevalence of the flu in Tehran his hope that Surur is feeling better, suggesting to her to keep warm and use quinine and to send the rest of her illness in an envelope to him. He hopes that Surur is not upset with him anymore after his explanations about not being able to meet her and asks Surur to set another date with him.

‘Abd al-Husayn Mu‘azzaz al-Mulk (Taymurtash) writes to Surur al-Saltanah explaining why he did not have a chance to write earlier due to preoccupations at the Majlis and attending a party at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs held for the foreign ambassadors and their wives. He describes the party for Surur, noting that there were one hundred and fifty guests, men and women, with music, etc. He talks about the constraints on him and Surur al-Saltanah and that he does not believe in restrictions for lovers, whether in Muharram or Safar, and that he has written to Salar about this and is hoping...

He also talks about meeting with Rukn al-Sultan and Fakham al-Saltanah for permission, that he was hoping for settling the date on the sixteenth, but they had decided to postpone it to the twenty sixth, and that he is not happy for this delay but he will stay patient. At the end, he mentions that, despite her decision to stop correspondence, he is sending this letter along with few other letters...
